Castleton Corners is located on the North Shore of Staten Island and bordered by Westerleigh to the west and Sunnyside to the east. It’s borders are Manor Road to Victory Boulevard to Gower Street to Brielle Avenue to Ocean Terrace to Little Clove Road to Royal Oak Road to Rice Avenue to Slosson Avenue to Martling Avenue to Manor Road. Castleton Corners borders also has a small pocket area known as Royal Oak, which is the span of above 5-6 blocks right next to Clove Lakes Park.

It is most known for its shopping district located along Victory Boulevard. There are numerous shops, restaurants, deli’s, and other businesses that make it a wonderful place to live and work. It’s has a wonderful walkability factor that can take you to Staten Island staples like Joe & Pat’s Pizzeria, Goodfellas Pizza, & the Island Coffee Shop (on Manor Road). It also features wonderful places for the Do-it-Yourselfer in Reiman’s Hardware & Doody’s Hardware. Castleton Corners is a combination of one and two family homes with the styles ranging from one story Ranch style homes, to Side/Center Hall Colonials, to Cape Cod Style houses. There are also a number of new construction homes from townhomes & condos to semi-detached properties. Many of the homes in the area consist of Staten Island Old World ‘Charm’ with Natural Trim & Hardwood Floors. Although those are staples of the neighborhood housing, many homes have been renovated by their owners and while sometime homeowners will completely change their total interiors, many homeowners have continued to keep that ‘old world feel’ to their home.

Castleton Corners also features various transportation options from Express Buses that go into Manhattan, to Buses along Victory Boulevard that take you to the St. George Ferry. It also runs parallel to the Staten Island Expressway, which lends you access to all four major bridges (Verrazanno, Bayonne, Goethals, & Outerbridges).

Castleton Corners has one of the best parks on Staten Island in Clove Lakes Park. Clove Lakes Park has a number of walking trails, ample outdoor space, a number of baseball fields, basketball courts, and a few playgrounds for the kids. It is also home to a wonderful restaurant on the Lake called the Stonehouse, a wonderful dining experience that is getting critical acclaim. There is also the North Shore’s only Ice Skating Rink in Clove Lakes Park.

With all of these options for you, its no surprise that Castleton Corners is one of the most desirable areas for buyers on the North Shore.
